Anna Henckel-Donnersmarck is a filmmaker, videoartist and shortfilm curator.

She creates videoprojections for theater, opera, dance and music concerts as well as video installations for exhibitions and museums. Her clients include Staatsoper Berlin, Komische Oper Berlin, Berliner Philharmoniker, Grimmwelt Kassel, Alte Oper Frankfurt, Jewish Museum Berlin, Hubert Burda Media, Hess Natur, Elbphilharmonie Hamburg, Hygiene Museum Dresden, Ethnologisches Museum Dahlem, éclat - Festival für Neue Musik, wien modern, Bauhaus Archiv Berlin. She has collaborated with, for example, Constanza Macras, Laurent Chetouane, Cordula Däuper, Clemens Gadenstätter, The Wooster Group New York, Peter Mussbach, David Hermann, Nicola Lepp, Annemarie Hürlimann, Nina Wiedemeyer, Daniel Tyradellis, Invisible Playground.

For almost 20 years she works for shortfilm festivals as programmer and moderator for example for Berlinale Shorts, Kasseler Dokfest, Filmwinter Stuttgart, Zebra Poetry Filmfestival, Internationale Kurzfilmtage Oberhausen, Pictoplasma. She has served as member of the jury for Szpilman Award, Tel Aviv International Student Film Festival, Teheran Internat. Short Film Festival, Milano Film Festival, “City Stories” by Siemens@Crystal, Filmfest Dresden, Achtung Berlin, Sehsüchte Potsdam, Nordisk Panorama, Regard-Saguenay Int. Short Film Festival Canada.
